The right technology starts with the right building.
A renewable system should not be added as an afterthought. We reduce
demand through the fabric first, then size and coordinate each technology
around how the home will actually perform.

OVERVIEW
A complete, whole-home approach to renewable energy.
We design and integrate renewable systems as part of a unified home, combining low-carbon technologies with high performance building fabric, smart controls and careful coordination. The result is comfortable, efficient home that's ready for the future.

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Efficient, low-carbon heating for modern homes.

Underfloor Heating (UFH)
Even, comfortable heat at lower temperatures.

Mechanical Ventilation
with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
Fresh-air, healthier homes with less wasted heat.

Solar Photovoltaics (PV)
Generate clean electricity to power your home.

M&E and. HVAC coordination
All systems working together, seamlessly.

Start with a better building.
We prioritise a well-insulated, airtight fabric before adding technology. This reduces energy demand, allows smarter, more efficient systems and delivers a more comfortable, enduring home.
DESIGNED AS ONE CONNECTED HOME
Systems that work together.
We design heating, ventilation, hot water, solar and controls as a single integrated systems. This joined-up approach improves performance, simplifies operation and creates a healthier, more comfortable home.

Designed with Urban.
Delivered with specialist expertise.
One joined-up design conversation. Clear responsibility. Specialist renewable expertise coordinated with the architecture, fabric and construction programme.
URBAN ECOHOMES
Leads the wider build, integrates the system strategy and coordinates
structure, floor build-ups, service routes, airtightness and programme.
Our preferred specialist partner for relevant system design, installation, commissioning and
support across renewable technologies.
Reliable heating starts with the calculations.
We begin with a room-by-room heat-loss calculation, then specifies the equipment, emitters and settings around the actual property. This reduces the risk of poor winter comfort or unnecessarily high flow temperatures.
HEAT-LOSS DESIGN
Room-by-room demand and outdoor design conditions.
EMITTER SCHEDULE
UFH or radiators checked against target flow temperature.
HOT-WATER STRATEGY
Cylinder capacity and domestic hot-water requirements.
SITING & CONTROLS
Outdoor unit position, access, noise, controls and commissioning.
Underfloor heating designed
with the heat pump - not afterwards.
UFH performs efficiently at lower flow temperatures when every room is calculated properly. We design pipe spacing, circuit lengths, manifold configuration and zone temperatures against the confirmed heat loss before the floor is closed.
Designed correctly, UFH can deliver its output at approximately 35-40 C, supporting efficient heat-pump operation.

Will a heat pump keep my home warm?
It should when the system is designed from the property's room-by-room heat loss and the emitters can deliver at the intended flow temperature.
Can a heat pump provide hot water as well?
Yes. Most domestic systems provide space heating and hot water, usually using a correctly sized cylinder.
Do I automatically need a battery with solar?
No. The decision should reflect daytime generation, evening demand, tariff strategy and the amount of surplus electricity
available to store.
How much electricity will the solar array generate?
That depends on system size, roof orientation, shading and seasonal conditions; the design should include a
property-specific annual projection.
Why design UFH and the heat pump together?
Because circuit spacing, output and flow temperature determine whether both systems can operate efficiently without
compromising comfort.
